A BIG shout out to…
Nora Swann, Pasifika Fusion Fashion Show Director, and her team for a fantastic and successful high-end fashion event recently staged in Otara, the heart of South Auckland.
The Ministry applauds Ms Swann’s efforts to stage such an event, which showcased a fusion of Pacific fashion and Western fashion, with each designer bringing their own unique style to the runway.
Massive congratulations to the four winners; Afa Ah Loo from Utah, By Karen Abdul from Melbourne, and NZ’s own Layplan and VAB Designz who all had special passes to attend NZ Fashion Week events.
The Ministry would like to congratulate the 45 models that took part in the show and competed for the title of the Face of Fusion, which was won by 18-year-old Mt Albert Girls Grammar student Alaimaluloa Toetu’u.
The Ministry is also keen to promote our Pacific entrepreneurs who are making a significant contribution to the NZ economy in their specialised fields. The Ministry strongly supports business growth and innovation relating to Pacific business development.
We look forward to a fresh, high-end fashion experience in South Auckland next year, with more vibrant designs exhibiting the local fashion talent of Pacific people.
