The Ministry made steps to become more visible and approachable in 2016 by connecting with hundreds of Pacific community members at Pacific festivals around the country.
We hosted hang-out zones at Wellington Pasifika Festival, Porirua Creekfest, Auckland Pasifika Festival and the Auckland and Canterbury Polyfests this summer.
The hang-out zones were designed for festival goers to relax and learn more about the work we do.
Hundreds of the visitors to the hang-out zones also completed our annual survey. We thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback and views, which we will use in our work.
We loved seeing families chilling out on our bean bags, playing games and enjoying the free cool water and fruit, which we provided to promote healthy eating choices.
If you missed us at the festivals don’t worry you can connect with our regional teams.
