When business owners and banking industry marry

For the first time, the Ministry is collaborating with ASB Bank to host a matchmaking event “Fostering Niu Relationships and Entrepreneurship”, with the purpose of encouraging Pacific business owners to meet with banking employees.

The event provides an opportunity for Pacific business owners to meet and network with Pacific people working in the banking industry, and is an opportunity to build strong links and partnerships with the private sector and corporate banks, so they can contribute and recognise the value in investing in Pacific businesses.

The event, scheduled for 17 October at the ASB Cube in Auckland, contributes to one of the Ministry’s priorities; increasing Pacific income and wealth, meaning if more Pacific people qualify to be in business and can participate in higher value businesses then there will be more successful Pacific businesses overall.

Put simply, the event focuses on getting more Pacific business owners aware of the services that are available in the banking industry.

It is about identifying and seizing opportunity to collaborate with Pacific business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs and create meaningful partnerships with the mainstream banks.

Events like this help inspire and grow Pacific businesses and contribute to Pacific success in Aotearoa.

There are limited spaces available and registration is essential to get your ticket to be part of this event.
