The Ministry for Pacific Peoples is the Crown's principal advisor on policies and interventions that impact on better outcomes for Pacific Peoples in New Zealand. We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an innovative person to join our Capability Development Team, National Office. If you love working in a diverse and busy environment where no two days are the same, this could be the opportunity for you.
In this role you will touch all aspects of HR including recruitment, providing advice and support to managers, delivering core HR processes and reporting, employee relations and performance management. You will also have the opportunity to support key organisational development initiatives identified in our People Strategy.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Experience in an HR advisory role with sound working knowledge of HR practices and confidence to deliver advice at all levels of the organisation
- A collaborative approach with exceptional relationship management skills
- Superior communication, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities
- High levels of initiative with effective planning, project management and organisational abilities
- A can do attitude and ability to work independently
