Senior / Intermediate Lawyer - Wellington
Sole charge legal advisor
Flexible, part time (2 – 3 days per week)
The Ministry for Pacific Peoples provides a range of services to Pacific peoples across New Zealand. We are a busy close-knit team of 50 people working across four locations around the country.
This role has been created by our current Chief Legal Counsel taking up a secondment opportunity. You will provide partial cover and be responsible for delivering legal advice on procurement, risks, employment matters, privacy and OIA requests and will have general oversight of the Ministry’s legal issues.
The appointee will have the opportunity to work alongside the leadership team and when required work closely with the Chief Executive and other senior leaders within the Ministry. This role reports to the General Manager, Business Services, People and Culture and will receive oversight from the current Chief Legal Counsel as agreed.
