Toloa Tertiary Scholarships
The Ministry for Pacific Peoples is pleased to offer eight Toloa Tertiary Scholarships for Pacific students to pursue studies in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) subjects.
Valued at up to $25,000 each, the scholarships cover course and compulsory fees and will be paid over a period of three years to the successful first year undergraduate or postgraduate recipients. Recipients will also receive some mentoring during the course of their studies.
The initial basis of selection will:
- Meet eligibility guidelines
- Meet the following selection criteria:
- cultural participation in Pacific contexts
- leadership potential
- level of preparedness for tertiary study by considering their performance to date in subjects relevant to their intended course.
The Ministry for Pacific Peoples is not obliged to make the full number of Scholarships if there are not enough applicants of sufficient merit.
The Ministry for Pacific Peoples has the power to amend or vary the criteria provided that there is no departure from the main purpose of the Scholarship. This may include variation in the value of the scholarship to align with the course.
